Casino terms glossary for live tables, reels and crash
WORD LIST

Casino terms glossary for live tables, reels and crash

A plain-language glossary for the words used on the JeetBuzz casino side: live dealer tables, reels, crash rounds and the cashier. Definitions are short, and the advanced list explains how the terms interact.

  • Live terms
  • Reel terms
  • Crash terms
  • Cashier terms
READING THE LIST

How the glossary is organised

Terms are grouped into a short basic set, a longer advanced set and a map that shows which term belongs to which format. Read the basics first, then move to the advanced list when a rules screen uses words you do not yet know.

TERM MAP

Which words belong to which format

Some words appear in every format and others belong to one. This map shows which terms you will meet at a live table, on a reel, in a crash round or at the cashier.

  • Live tables

Betting window, dealer, studio, table limit and side bet all describe what happens around a live round.

  • Reels

Paylines, paytable, volatility, bonus round and wild symbol describe how a reel game is laid out and how it pays.

  • Crash rounds

Multiplier, crash point and cash-out describe the single decision at the heart of a crash round.

  • Cashier

Deposit timing, withdrawal range, verification and wagering requirement describe how money moves in and out.

BASICS

Core words for a first visit

These five terms appear on almost every page of the casino side. Read them once and most screens will make sense.

What is a live dealer game?

A game run by a real host on camera, with bets placed on your own screen while the round is in progress.

What is a betting window?

The short period in which bets are accepted. Once it closes, the round goes ahead and no new stake joins it.

What is a stake?

The amount you put on a bet. A win is calculated from the stake, and the stake is what is lost if the bet does not land.

What is a payout?

The amount returned for a winning bet, shown as a multiple or a figure on the table or paytable.

What is a session?

One continuous visit to the casino, from sign-in to sign-out. Setting a limit for each session keeps the visit in shape.

ADVANCED

Terms that need more context

These terms take a little more explanation because they depend on how a game is built. Each answer says what the term changes at the table or on the screen.

What is house edge?

The long-run margin built into a game. It is a property of the game design and says nothing about the outcome of any single round.

What is volatility?

How unevenly a game pays. High volatility means rarer, larger results, and low volatility means frequent, smaller ones.

What is hit frequency?

How often a spin or round returns any win. It describes the rhythm of a game, not the size of the next result.

What is a commission?

A charge taken from a winning bet under the rules of a particular table, such as the banker bet in baccarat. The table information states the rate.

What is a side bet?

An extra optional bet placed alongside the main one on the same round. It has its own payout rules, which should be read before the round opens.

What is a multiplier?

The figure a stake is multiplied by when it pays. In crash rounds the multiplier climbs during the round, and the round ends at a point that is not known in advance.

WORKED EXAMPLES

Terms in use

Three short examples show how a few terms work together on a real screen. The numbers are left out on purpose, since payouts and limits belong to each game and table.

  • A stake on a live table

You place a stake while the betting window is open. When the dealer closes the window, the round is played out and the payout is credited, or the stake is lost.

  • A spin on a reel game

You set a stake per spin and press spin. Each spin settles on its own, so a long run without a win does not change the next result.

  • A cash-out in a crash round

You watch the multiplier climb and cash out at the figure you chose before the round began. If the round crashes first, the stake is lost.

Terms that still confuse you
NEED HELP

Terms that still confuse you

If a term on a game page does not match what you see on the screen, ask customer support. Give the game name and the term so the question can be answered quickly.

  • Round-the-clock team

Support is staffed 24 hours a day, so a question about a term can be asked at any time.

  • Email back-up

If the team cannot be reached, email info@jeetbuzz.com with the game name and the term.

QUICK ANSWERS

Glossary questions answered

Short answers on how to use the terms and where they show up.

Do the terms mean the same in every game?

Not always. Many words are shared, but each game sets its own rules and payouts, so the rules screen of that game is the final word.

Where do I find the rules for a game?

Each game has its own rules and paytable screen. Read it before the first stake, because it sets the payouts for that game.

Are these terms the same as the sports terms?

Some words overlap, such as odds and margin, but they are used differently. Casino terms describe rounds that the game settles by itself.

Why does this glossary avoid giving numbers?

Payouts and margins vary by game and table. The figures shown on a live table or paytable are the ones that apply to that game.
